HEARTWOOD FOREST field meeting

A site acquired by the Woodland Trust several years ago, consisting of four patches of woodland, where fields between the woods have been planted with trees to create woodland for the future.  The Group has been visiting regularly, and recently it has been good to see fungi appearing in the grass around the younger trees. The entrance to the car park is not shown on older maps but is off the B651 just to the north of Coleman Green Lane at Grid ref: TL 172111.
